Coco-Date Smoothie || Chaitime

Are you ready for a combined shot of antioxidants, iron, dietary fiber, potassium, calcium, manganese, copper and magnesium? Oh, how about some vitamins and proteins? This smoothie has ‘em all! A sinful combination of dates and coconut, this winter smoothie is packed with all the goodness that nature can offer.

Coco-Date Smoothie



Pitted dates – 1 cup

Coconut milk – 1 1/2 cups

Banana – 1

Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp

Turmeric – a pinch

Almonds – 1/4 cup (soaked overnight)

Jaggery powder – 1 tsp (This can be substituted with honey)

Warm water – 1 cup (or more depending on desired consistency)


Sesame seeds

Basil seeds


  • Cook pitted dates in coconut milk along with cinnamon powder and turmeric powder. Bring it to a boil. Cool to room temperature.
  • Combine date-coconut milk mixture, banana, almonds, jaggery powder and water in a blender and puree at high.
  • Serve immediately with sesame seeds and basil seeds.
  • This recipe serves two.
